Epson EX3290 3-chip 3LCD Widescreen WXGA Video Projector with Built-In Speaker, 4000 Lumens Color and White Brightness, 2x HDMI Ports
Epson EX3290 3LCD Projector Review
The EX3290 is a practical large-room projector built around ease of use. Its 4,000 lumens of color brightness and 4,000 lumens of white brightness are intended to keep presentations, spreadsheets, and videos visible in well-lit spaces, while 3-chip 3LCD technology is designed to maintain vivid color. Two HDMI ports simplify switching between laptops and streaming devices, and the built-in speaker allows basic video and audio playback without an additional sound system. The tradeoff is that WXGA is oriented toward presentations and general viewing rather than the finest high-resolution home-cinema detail.

Full review
The Epson EX3290 is designed to remove several common setup hurdles. Its built-in speaker lets you begin using the projector for presentations, video calls, or basic entertainment without immediately adding external audio equipment. Two HDMI ports also make it easier to connect a laptop and a streaming device without repeatedly changing cables. Brightness is the model's strongest practical feature. Epson lists 4,000 lumens of color brightness and 4,000 lumens of white brightness, with the projector intended to display presentations, spreadsheets, and videos in well-lit rooms. That makes it a sensible fit for meeting rooms, classrooms, and multipurpose spaces where controlling ambient light is difficult. The 3-chip 3LCD system is specified to display the full RGB color signal for every frame, supporting vivid color without the distracting rainbowing associated with some projection technologies. The stated image size reaches up to 300 inches, giving groups a much larger viewing area than a conventional flat panel. The main qualification is resolution. WXGA widescreen output is well suited to business content and general video, but it should be evaluated against your expectations for detailed home-theater viewing. Overall, the EX3290 makes the most sense for buyers who value bright, uncomplicated projection and convenient connections more than specialized cinema features. See price on Amazon
